Gothuma Rava Payasam Recipe
Ingredients:
Ghee - 1 tblspn + 2 tblspn
Wheat Rava / Broken Wheat - 1/2 cup
Sago - 1/4 cup
Water - 1.5 cups
Jaggery - 1 cup grated
Coconut Milk - 2 cups
Cardamom Powder / Yelakai Podi -1 tsp
Cashews - 10 broken into small pieces
Method:
Heat ghee in a pan. Add in broken wheat and saute for 2 mins or so.
Now take this in pressure cooker, add in sago and water. Pressure cook for 2 whistle. Turn off the heat and let the steam go all by itself.
Now take this in a pan and add in jaggery. Cook this for 5 to 10 mins till the mixture thickens.
Now add in coconut milk and mix well. Simmer for few mins..
Now add in cardamom powder and mix well.
Heat ghee in a pan, add in cashews and fry till golden. Pour this into the payasam and mix well.
Serve.
